Delbarr Moradi // new web design

In the last couple crazy weeks, I haven't unpacked, or moved into my new house, or gone on a jog, or written the stack of postcards I've been starting at since we left to drive cross country. I've been sitting in Hannah and Alex's hot little cottage, obsessed over designing the perfect website for Delbarr. And it was the most fun I've had in a looong time.

Check out this incredibly talented photographer's work... Delbarr's been published all over the map,  photographed her way all over the world, and... her wedding photography makes me swoon quite a bit. Hopefully you have as much fun clicking through the site as I did getting to know Delbarr and creating a virtual representation of her genuine spirit and incredibly creative talent.

Kiyoshi Mino // woolies

When people first see Kiyoshi's work, they're hit with a range of emotion. Shock. Curiosity. Disbelief. Intrigue. Excitement. My first impression led me to comment something along the lines of "what on earth IS that???" It's detailed. It's unique. It's awe-inspiring. And it's all wool. With a tiny set of tools and an incredible amount of creativity and dexterity, Kiyoshi brings to life a myriad of animals just itching to be named, admired, and given a story. He's now taking custom orders for pet portraits, table centerpieces, installation work, and is game for any idea you throw his way.

I was lucky to tackle Kiyoshi's logo, website, and all of the photos of his gorgeous needle felted animal art. Visit the website for more photos of each animal, and check out more of my branding work on my new website here.

Which is your favorite??

Enjoy // new web design

This morning, we launched the new website for Enjoy Events Co., a planning and design company based in the Bay Area. I've been seriously stoked to work on their new image for their blog and website, and can't wait to get their print promo package begun. The two creative geniuses behind the action are Emily and Megan, who could not be any sweeter... so for a little Monday morning sugar shock, head on over to their new site and blog.

Welcome to Stanford Women's Water Polo // web

When JT, the coach from my old water polo days at Stanford, asked Han and me to give the current team a new image, I could scarcely believe my ears. I got giddy. Not only a designer's dream, but a former-athlete's. A whole campaign of photos, websites, posters, blogs, postcards and underwater shenanigans all flashed across my brain. And that's exactly what we've been doing since.

Click below to read more about these incredible student-athletes, who have already contributed tireless hours to goofy photo shoots and making the website a personal, interesting nook for friends, family, fans and those new to the sport and team. You'll read about their world travels, love of Gaga, shoe collections, penchant for baked goods, to-do lists, infectious laughs, hidden talents, hopes for the future, and of course, love of all things water polo.

Expect more #1 ranked Stanford Women's Water Polo goodness as the season progresses... an alumni directory, interviews, water polo 101, and a couple fun poster series are coming soon!

Marnie Cobbs // Holiday Shopping Guide #2

In keeping with this holiday shopping spirit, I'd like to recommend another amazing artist to you. Marnie continues to be one of my biggest role models in creative self employment, and I was lucky enough to be hired to help design her website and print materials. She's a book binder, painter, and poet, and basically oozes beauty and creativity in everything that she does. When I look at her work, I feel more connected to the earth and begin to notice more of the colors, textures and beauty around me.
I call it Marnie-Vision.

Marnie is now selling her paintings, cards, and poetry online! I was lucky enough to visit one of her craft shows last weekend, and dashed out the door with a couple dozen beautiful greeting cards with her landscape paintings on them, perfect for family gifts this holiday season.

You can visit the shop here or read more about Marnie on her website here. Scroll on to peek at some of the treats in her shop!

The Fixin' To
{ Portland Bar, Southern Soul }

When Justin and I heard about the new place opening around the corner from us, we got into a downright tizzy. While I sat, daydreaming all of the amazing southern treats they'd serve and what a great space the building would create, Justin offered to build their bar. Typical. His do-gooder zeal inspired me to design their new website (print materials to come)! Since their opening last weekend, we have been in often, happily celebrating the general neighborhoodie ambiance of this bar with an undoubtedly bright future. The owners, Marli, Bart, and Megan are hip, cool people with wonderful friends and their buddy/cook Grant is a true visionary. Did I MENTION he makes Frito Pie??

Visit www.thefixinto.com to get a snippet of their coolness, scroll on for some photos of their first live evening, or stop by and cozy up in a booth for some warm treats and cool spirits. They'll be open this weekend for Superbowl madness, where you'll find most patrons' eyes on the TV, save for mine, which will be focused intently on my Dixie beer and vegan dumplings. Yumm.
